I write. You can find my on FanStory as 'allinmyhead'. I'm also an avid reader. One of my current, favorite authors is Elizabeth Berg. I'm a huge fan of her writing; I have found so much of myself in her characters, their situations, their musings on life. When I read an interview with Berg recently, I laughed out loud - the way she described herself - there I was staring back at myself from her words. She was describing me, better than I could ever describe myself:
"Overly idealistic, sentimental...a person who must pet every dog I pass AND attempt to engage it in conversation..I'm passionate about things to the point of annoyance..I'm a lover of flowers; I need them...I don't have any mechanical skills and wish I did..I'm a good cook. I'm a better eater...I'm deeply shy but I put on a good show to overcome it..."
And there you have it. Add-in that I'm also an animal lover. I have a wonderful Australian Terrier. My oldest and most-loved cat (last pet connected to my son's childhood) - my 18-year-old Rascal passed away in the summer of 2006. I am a bit of a foodaholic too and can't seem to pass up either chocolate or pizza - EVER (although I do work out regularly and try to stay in reasonable shape).
I'm analytical and introspective to a fault. For reasons too numerous (and personal) to mention, I did not finish my undergraduate degree; however, over the years I somehow managed to talk my way into (and excell at) several positions which had previously only been held by someone with at least a BA. There are many people out there who do not, to this day, know that I never finished my degree program - so don't tell. This is between you and me.
